i thought it would be totally horrible, but I like it. I guess because I wasn't around when any of this happened, so it's like a soap opera to me, because I don't totally know what will happen.
Do you mean The Bronx is Burning? I agree with you, I have enjoyed it more than I thought. Not really a Yankee fan but I certainly remember the time period and this show has some darn good actors in it. John Turturo as Billy Martin is awesome.
the bronx is burning... that's it! hahah i went totally brain-dead. Seeing Kevin's old dad on the Wonder Years as one of the lead detectives for the police in that show cracked me up, as well as the Giambi cameo as the taxi driver in the 1st episode.
they really don't. you just have to talk about what sells. it's like us at the paper. I, personally would love to do millions of men's bball stories, but sometimes we have to pass up a real good bball story for a half-ass decent football story, b/c football is just what sells. when you mention the name: Red Sox, Yankees, Cowboys, Celtics, Lakers, etc... it just naturally means more than when you say Devil Rays, Royals, Jaguars, Bucks, and Sonics. No one would watch a Devil Rays series. lol but i do feel your pain about being tired of the same ole stuff.
this week on "trouble in tampa: the devil rays saga": watch carl crawford count the minutes until free agency. see ty wigginton kill the clubhouse buffet. i would watch that series.
Another Wonder years actor, Kevin's ********* brother, is best friends with Scott Baio(sp?) is 40 and Single show on VH1.
watch elijah dukes (x-ray) beat his soon to be ex-wife and shoot roids. bj upton and cc race the 100 meters. see iwamura arm wrestle brendan harris or wiggy and gomes in an eating competition. rays are my new favorite team. they will win their division 5 of the next 10 years. id watch but i aint watching this yankee bs.
I'm actually wearing my D-Rays shirt today. I'm pretty conflicted about them, since they're such a harmless team, but loaded with talent. As harmless as they are, they routinely kill the Yankees. I had to get the shirt though to support them after meeting their 14 fans at Tropicana and realizing it's far and away the worst park in baseball. I haven't watched the Bronx show either. I really like Turturro and the Yankees, but it just didn't interest me. Plus, I'm still ticked off about ESPN venturing into so many other areas, and then generally doing them poorly.
well at least you called it before all the loser sportscasters now piling on the (devil) rays' bandwagon. good job.
