Because we were trying to ice the game and the alternative was Murphy, who also fumbled and isn't a pile-mover, or a redshirt freshman. We didn't think he could possibly fumble twice, but he did.

I don't think he'll have much leash if he fumbles anymore.

Let me help you blind boy: Hebert is a Center! He is not a Right Tackle, he is not listed on the depth chart. He also was getting knocked back on his arse. Rewatch the game like I have, he was horrible. He is 30 pounds too light for the position and at least 2 inches too short.

Look at the stats again Murphy had two carries not one. So I do not trust you with facts whatsoever. :) He had to leave because he fumbled the ball. Glad you have the sense to realize he is not our best RB. Miles does not.

When your OC and DC are having problems the person you fire is the HC. It's remarkable they both have to leave with him.

We have tons of tailbacks though. It's not like LSU hasn't seen success from freshman running backs before. Justin Vincent, Ally Broussard, Charles Scott and Keiland both had good freshman seasons. If you fumble, you should be on the pine.

I hope you are right about his short leash though.

I agree that Hebert is too small. (for the SEC period) I do not agree that he played horribly. He played well except for the holding penalty, which was questionable at best.

Murphy had one carry per lsusports.net. Nonetheless, even if he had two, what does your statement mean? Of course he isn't the best RB on the team. Who said he is?? If Miles thought he was, he would've had more than one...or two carries!

Miles will not be fired after this season. Crowton? With any luck. Chavis will rebound. LSU gave up more yds to UW in last year's opener, and the D wound up pretty good.

***Correction. lsusports.net says 2 carries for -1 yds. Dandy said one carry. The point is the same. Who said he was the best RB?

I agree with that. I don't think Hebert should be on any SEC OL...but he didn't play poorly Saturday night.

Sabotage? What is with this anti-LSU conspiracy? Didn't ESPN sign a multi-million dollar contract with the SEC? Why would they, as a huge media organization as a whole, single out LSU to disrespect? If they want LSU to fail, they would WANT Miles to be here. As a coach, no one fears him.

I think the problem is that some guys around here love LSU to the point where they don't want to see problems, or at least don't like when members of the media mention them. Instead, they try to discredit a writer and the good points he made by saying, "ESPN has it out for Miles."

ESPN has written many encouraging and criticizing things about LSU... AND EVERY OTHER FREAKING SCHOOL. Sure, USC, Bama, Penn St., etc might be media darlings, but it doesn't mean members of the media are LSU haters.

Gimme a break. After '08 and '09, LSU needs to earn their respect back. If it weren't for Gary Danielson and Miles' ridiculous argument about "not losing in regulation," LSU would have had an even slimmer chance to get to the NC game. It took the hated members of the media talking about "the mad hatter" and pushing his argument to help LSU get there.

Miles has problems, and just because an ESPN writer highlights them doesn't mean he is wrong.

Um, I was agreeing with you. It was the other genius that said he played "HORRIBLE". The same one that so accurately noted that RM is not the best RB on the team.

    good post.

oh and please tell me he didn't really say that about not blowing them out on purpose. Please for the love of the great sun god, tell me he didn't say that, and that was all just an internet farce.
