And it took all of them a few weeks to get playing time. They all played in the 55-7 blowout of Arizona, and they looked good with the exception of Barrington Edwards. He fumbled vs. Zona and never played again. Broussard and Vincent went on to dominate against South Carolina and were part of the lineup ever since. But none were playing much in the beginning. Miles was right not to insert Ford, Ware or Blue once the game was in question again. I'm sure he wanted to but he had no choice after the 97 yard pass.
Well it could be worse. She could be salivating over the possibilities... [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jx0pTIDb-r0]YouTube - ESPN Ole Miss Star Wars Commercial[/ame]
On this board yes, Miles supporters are the majority. (I'm talking about of the regulars) In the real would it's not even close. Of all my LSU friends, coworkers, randoms I talk to around town and fans at the game in ATL it's about 10 to 1 that think it's time for him to go. On top of that fans from other schools constantly ask when we are getting rid of him and now the national media has pretty much given up too. There is a small group fans that still think Miles is the right man for the job. Most seem to be on this board. That's why I come here because I want to be positive. I really want to think Miles will somehow get this team to play to it's potential but it's just so hard when all evidence points to the contrary.
The people that are calling for Miles head aren't thinking it through. What kind of message does that send to any prospective head coach out there, that LSU fires head coaches who average 10 wins a season, after they were cellar dwellers in the 90's. The problems with this offense may look bad on Miles, but i honestly think he wanted Crowton gone after last year. If you want to blame anyone blame Joe Alleva because i bet he is why Crowton is still around.
CLM needs to have Ridley carry a football all week to classes so he can learn to care for it. If Ford is doing it in practice - he needs to do the same.
here is a stat i just heard on the radio..... Stevan Ridley 21 touches Russell Shepard, Terrance Tolliver, Reuben Randle, and you can list every running back on the depth chart except Murphy...... 17 touches combined.
Unless he was thrown to a few times, (too tired to care), the box score showed he ran 19 carries for 81 yards.
