    Im the same way!

Actually, no coach in the history of sports doesn't come without flaws. They're human.

I was basing my theory on tenure and consistency. Miles has been consistent so far, but just not enough years under his belt. Saban has the years, but no consistency.

I like Joe Pa. He obviously has the tenure. I know PSU was down for a few years, but to be his age and have his team possibly in the NCG speaks volumes. And who would have ever thought he of all coaches would go to the spread offense.

I guess Bowden, even tho i hate him. FSU has totally sucked the past few years, but you can't argue his record.

    Gerry DiNardo.

I guess Pa and Bowden are more for their past. As for "great" coaches now, i don't see any.

Thats fair. I should have said elite coaches when compared to the others in the profession currently. All-time greats...might have to wait for that. We're a patient group though so that shouldnt be a problem. ;)

If Bama wins then I hope they go all the way...with Mike Shula's players.

Just like Nick Saban did with Dinardo's players.

I dont often listen to the local sports radio here in Bham because of the aub/gump lean but have this week. They've had a bunch of LSU talking heads on and it does NOTHING to dispel the notion LSU fans have huge hatred towards Saban. Just this morning some joker is on, dont remember his name, and starts talking about the effigy of Saban being burned. Then the "Water Boys" from BR get on and absolutely cement the national perception all these articles refer to. Lets all thank the BR media for giving national media the ammunition needed for these damn articles. :dis:

The truth is, the vast majority of LSU fans don't like Nick Saban for going to Bama (not for leaving LSU). So these guys that you're hearing may be going over the edge, but they're not few and far between. The BR media is not to blame. They are just doing stories on the truth of the situation. If you want to blame someone, blame Saban. But you can't really dispel something when it's not a myth. I don't really think that most fans hate him, but I know many don't respect him for that decision he made to come back to LSU's division. It 's very sensible to me.

Of course I have great respect for what he did at LSU (and others will probably too once he's gone from Bama one of these days). And I'm sure he has great respect for what LSU did for him. I didn't know anyone who knew who the hell Nick Saban was before we hired him. But everyone knows his name now.

But he's our enemy today. There was a quote of him saying that he never wanted to be on the other side of LSU fans after experiencing them at the Indy Bowl when LSU beat Michigan St. while he was there. Well, he had a chance to never face them again, but oh well... Go Tigers!
