I know the debate over whether LSU gets media respect is an exercise in futility, but, I was just looking at their ESPN.com college FB home page and there are 45 "college football headlines", none of which mention LSU.
All I can think is that there was so much ass-whoopin' goin' on, and we were favored to beat Miss State twice as bad as we did, so there's no story. I don't think they're ignoring LSU as much as we don't stroke their manhood the way Notre Dame and USC does.
Last week we beat a top-10 opponent on the road on ESPN and we got a ton of exposure. This week we beat a doormat on ESPNWHO while three top-5 teams got beat--the best one opposite our game. No one saw us, only the highlights. We can't be the news every week--that's for Tebow and USC. Flying under the radar doesn't hurt when you're still ranked in the top-3. All that matters is being #1 or #2 when the BCS rankings come out. Then . . .all we have to do to get in the BCS championship game is win out.
Cowboys and Trojans lost. ESPN must be in a meltdown. wait...Favre threw 6 td's...they might survive.
