To date, LSU is ranked #2, according to ESPN-U. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/recruiting/classrankings?classyear=2009&classmonth=11&rank=2
Don't know about him being kin to Shep, but I hear he's all but locked in at LSU and Holloman might not be far behind him. LSU will probably finish #1 this year unless USC gets a flood of late recruits which is unlikely. They normally lock most of their class in early. If RR comes to LSU and Ford gets his 5th star as expected, that will pretty much seal it. If Bastrop and Leesville both win this Friday, they'll meet in the quarterfinals. It'll be time for Ford to really show what he's made of when he tries to run up the middle against Josh Downs(LSU) and D. Jones (Michigan). Of course I'm pulling for the hometeam, but I hope Ford can have a decent game on the ground as well. He did well against West Monroe, and should be able to run against us although not many have been able to do it successfully.
Loston and Shep are cousins and he is a lock to LSU. However, Holloman committed to South Carolina last week. USC has about sealed up the #1 class and LSU will likely fall in the #2 spot if all goes to plan.
Bhelm, Not sure how many recruits USC can take this year, but if it's in the 20-21 range, LSU will finish #1 based on numbers (i.e., 25 recruits vs 21).
