Nope, wasn't me. My point is this...it's been explained more than once IN THIS THREAD...but you seem to refuse to believe anyone but Garrett. Now BHelm, who I guarantee has more info on it than you or I combined...to the nth degree...has explained it yet again...and you still just won't even entertain the poss...no...prob...no...fact, that Miles spoke face to face with Garrett on NUMEROUS OCCASIONS, advising him exactly what he needs to do to maintain his scholly status, and he simply wouldn't do it. Do you really believe Miles didn't talk to the kid, and just sent a letter to his house telling him he's done here? No. And yes, Garrett is a punk for spinning it that way, not to mention the fact that he refused to do what he needed to do after having it outlined to him multiple times. And you have pretty much stated several times here that MILES is the one that lacks integrity, morals, and ethics. What about Garrett? How much character, integrity, morals, and ethics did he display at LSU? I mean, here Chris, here's a scholarship to Louisiana State University...renewable on an annual basis...and all you have to do is follow instructions, give some effort, keep your grades up, and stay outta trouble to keep it. I never heard about any academic or behavioral issues with Garrett, but it's pretty well known that he didn't keep his end of the bargain with the following instructions and giving effort. Is it fair for him to keep that scholly? I mean crap...go back a page or two and look at the picture Okie posted of him. CLEARLY, he refused to keep in shape. That's part of the deal if you wanna play football for an elite program in THE elite conference.
There it is...again. If Bhelm tells you a rooster dips snuff, I bet you'll find a can of snuff under that rooster's wing.
And it's not just 3rd/4th stringers like Garrett. This is what always bothered me about Perrilloux, and guys like him, more than what they actually do. These guys have been given the genetic equivalent of a winning lottery ticket in the NFL. All they have to do to cash it in is keep up their grades, work hard on the football field, and keep their noses out of trouble for 3 years. And they can't even do that. So much wasted potential.
this thread just makes me feel dirty for being a college sports fan. dirty business is one thing, but dirty business disguised as higher ed is another.
Interesting. 2theadvocate.com | Sports | Miles likes quality in recruiting class — Baton Rouge, LA Obviously he wasn't too upset.
Negative ghost rider. Not at the time they pulled the scholarship. There was no "annual review" but he was doing what was asked according to Fish's post.
