This is the point where you become an inhabitant of moronusville. It's the 4th page of a thread that you've been the lead poster on one side and on the other side someone of Legacy's stature posts a well written piece but its got to many words for you. Now I could understand not reading a post that long if it were by someone known for rambling repetitive regurgitation, but all of those people attended Stupid Idiots University, and Legacy is not an alum.
Thank you for the kind words, I appreciate the backup. Same respect back atcha. Funny thing is, he didn’t want to read it because it was too long, but had I made the same statements over 7-8 posts he would have read the same information. I just chose to put all of my thoughts into 1 post, rather that filling up 10 pages of saying the same thing 50 different ways.
If I stated my opinion on this thread it would be exactly as Legacy posted, I just wouldn't say it as good as he did. I also agree the part about Miles mot communication with the kid is disturbing. But it sounds a little off. It doesn't really sound like Miles, there must be a piece of the story missing. I don't believe it happened just the way CG said. And if this piece is what this guy calls journalistic integrity he's is crap.
SIU, ya know if you actually take the time to read my post you might actually see it has a somewhat intelligent response to this whole thing. An opinion none the less, but one that you might just agree with. If only a little.
Obvious troll is obvious.. You can't possibly think you have more knowledge and insight as to how the recruiting process than the folks at LSU do if you are as rational as you seem to think you are. Once again, this isn't debatable. I don't think anybody here is trying to argue whether the recruiting practices used by LSU (every top school) are morally right or wrong because that is neither here or there. As has been stated, everybody is keeping pace or trying to. But hey, this is America! Get your facts from the tube and believe every thing you read! It has to be true cuz ESPN said so.
apparently, lsu-siu is no longer with us. musta pushed his luck. (props to whoever took out the trash.) but in true troll fashion, looks like the newst member of the board is someone named "siu". what a shock. :rolleye33:
I liked the logic of your "position" a lot. I tried to do a little internet search on how the Big Ten established their conference limit of 26. I found bits and pieces, but the essence is that 26 per year accounts for 104 players against the 85 limit and allows for the conference's historical average of losing 19-20 player to transfer/injury/grades, etc.... in other words, historical attrition. However, some Big Ten schools run above the average and some below... and the conference allows substantiated variations each year based on a school's current situation. This is the intent of the scholarship limit per year. It would appear that the SEC is now looking to have a little more say on a school "substantiating" the practice of arbitrarily handing out as many as they want, ala Mississippi. It doesn't appear, looking at LSU's classes of late, that the school has operated outside the scope of the intent. This is what casts some doubt, imo, why LSU was singled out as the primary culprit by ESPN, when in fact the record shows they try to stay within the limits as well as anybody.
What makes you think he/she is gone, I see him/her logged in as LSU-SIU, also as you point out our newest member SIU, how convenient now there are 2 of them.
You must spread some rep around, and oh I will. Man that is funny. Thanks for sending me off with a smile. Happy Holidays to you.
