They are saying that the flag on AJ Green in the endzone is the reason LSU won. Ok, they hit us with the same penalty. We got a good return, they didn't, not our or the officials fault. We capitalized, they didn't, once again, not our or the officials fault. Try to taint the win all you want ESPN, LSU is 5-0 going into next weeks game on CBS. Bitches.
I would not worry about it. To be honest it was a BS call, did it help, yes hell yes it did. Both calls were bs. Now them saying that is the reason we won is also bs. Had we started on the 35, or the 50, either way we had to drive it.
Yup! They didn't even bother to mention that Holiday's return was what got them the good field position and that they failed to tackle Scott
Hey ESPN, maybe if Georgia wouldn't have let Trindon Holliday and our dead last in the SEC kickoff team run the ball into their territory they would have won. Or maybe if they would have tackled Charles Scott (who didn't have a rushing TD until today), they would have won. Or maybe if they knew how to line up on their final kickoff, they wouldn't have cost themselves another 5 yards. Or maybe if Joe Cox could have connected with the unstoppable AJ Green on the last drive (where they were helped in field position because of another B.S. unsportsmanlike penalty), maybe Georgia would have won. But that's just me.
That's what I said. EVen without the call against Green, they were STILL flagged for illegal procedure on the kick, Trindon still had a great return and we would have only had to go 30 yards for a gamewinning FG. Instead... We get a 33-yard TD run. There was still so much time on the clock that LSU still had advantages on that final drive. If we won on a last-second FG that barely cleared the crossbar then they could talk crap about that call. But we won by running it right down their throat. And I don't recall ESPN coming out to our aide with that NO-PASS-INTERFERENCE call @ Auburn when Early Doucet got mugged costing us a game....
You say that and this game reminded me so much of that Auburn game, until of course the last 3 minutes of the game.
Or when Ronnie Prude got flagged for landing on the guys back at Jordan Hare. Life's a bitch, but if Georgia is looking for someone to blame, they need only look in the mirror.
