ESPN uses Scouts Inc., not Scout.

These are my feelings exactly. Our coaches have worked with most of our recruits in camp and the coaches, for most any school, are much better at evaluating talent and needs than these services. I wish we could see our coaches recruiting board because that tells you how we did, not these stupid star rankings. They are great to talk about, somewhat of an indicator but dont address each teams needs and wants.

It would be nice if each school, after signing day is over and done with, release THEIR recruiting board to the fans. That way, it would give EVERYONE an opportunity to see exactly how close we came to getting the types of players that the coaching staff feels is important in keeping us moving in the right direction.

Their recruiting boards are completely fluid throughout the process, so just seeing the end part wouldn't give us a complete picture, although I agree it would certainly shed some light on how high they value our recruits & what positions they felt were most important.

I still think it's pretty unnecessary. We have Rivals, Scout & this recruiting forum to keep us updated on who the coaching staff is chasing, what players they really want & obviously we can all see who we end up with. We even get player interviews that give us general ideas of how close we are to signing certain players.

Sometimes it's not obvious if we settle for players or not though. So it would be nice to know how high we really valued certain recruits. I guess it works itself out though because we get to watch as the seasons progress & if that player gets playing time & how good they are.
