I know he is from Mississippi and an ole miss fan he even said that during the segment. However it's the first time I've ever heard LSU mentioned by Fox News, even Shep. The reason why is because it was such a coaching collapse. I wouldn't be surprised if they're laughing about it on the news in China.

Look guys after all day of this and Jimmy smart ass Ott rubbing the I told you so button for 3 hours on his show I have had enough!

You can not dumb down 2007! Nick Saban was not the coach in 2007!

It was 3 years after Nick was gone and I assure you in the history of college football no coach has EVER got more credit 3 years after he left a program than Nick has got for what Les and his staff did in 2007 to bring another BCS ball to Baton Rouge.

My brother might be a little stupid but I don't want to hear you tell me about it!

    It's a family thing!

I'm on my way to drop off a card to tell Coach I'm behind him and I will be pulling for my Tigers to win out!!

    Geaux Tigers !

Saban doesn't deserve any more credit for 2007 than he does for Saturdays debacle. Miles doesn't deserve any less credit for Saturdays debacle than he does 2007.
You need to seek professional help.

It wasn't the loss, itself, that were so bad in that game. It was that Saban had suspended his best wr for the game, then let him go in after the first half because the team was performing so badly.

Then, he equated his loss to national tragedies. THAT is what was so bad about the ULM loss.

But people have forgotten. Miles, however, may not get the same courtesy, as so many fans in his own program hate him, have hated him, and are now excited that he did something so monumentally stupid.

It's a sad day as an LSU fan.

ok, did you listen to his press conference?

miles said that the call to spike it did not come from him.

    but he did relay it.

he had reason to believe that someone in the booth spotted 12 men on D for ole miss. the call from the booth (which was relayed to JJ by a grad asst) was to spike it.

JJ looks clueless (and rightly so for knowing there would be no time left) while looking to his HC for guidance, miles relays the spike play b/c that's what's in his headphones too. the play before called for a hail mary to the end zone, JJ was knocked as he threw it the ball came down at the 5.

miles and his staff had no idea what to do b/c for them that was going to be the last play, a catch in the end zone or a loss. with nine seconds and no TO's, he didn't think there was enough time.

technically you should have a play as backup for that scenario but they weren;t prepared.

then the spike happened. well technically it didn't.

miles made many cardinal sins in this game the biggest which was not calling timeout with :25 but for someone who hates miles, doesn't this sound more logical.

miles is too dumb to be sinister. the anti miles crowd has to know that.

Well, I had no idea it was a segment with Shep. Smith cause I didn't see it, but that was my guess. And although I can imagine anyone talking about it because of the foolishness of it, I imagine Shep. Smith was the main guy pushing it. I saw him mention LSU on a few occasions about five years ago when I used to work at a place that had Fox News on all the time. I had no idea of his Ole Miss affiliation until then. It was strange to see some anchor on a news station come out and say that he was happy because LSU had lost over the weekend. From that moment on, I liked the guy less than I already did. I don't mind him a lot of times, but there are times when that dude acts extremely strange. Well, I'm sure he'll be happy this week.

I don't think it was horrible, he was at least in control of the situation and knew what he had to lose and what he had to win, to compare that to what happened in the LSU game is like comparing a mountain to a mole hill. The other team still have to go down the field and the guy said he had no confidence that his defense could stop them because they were gassed out.

Did LSU fake punt it and needed like 30 yards one time and almost got it as well?

Come on SIU, I know you're smarter than that. Mountain to a mole hill?

Both of them were mistakes as big as a mountain.

That guy had no confidence in his defense? They gave up 7 FREAKING points the whole game up until that point and stopped Harvard on 4th and goal at the 1 earlier in the game. They were leading 10-0 halfway through the 4th quarter. They were obviously holding when it mattered.

4th and 22 fake punt from your own 26...hmmm...I wonder how good the odds are in getting that. They came about 7 yards short even with the element of surprise. And as for talking about LSU faking it when they needed about 30, did they make it? What game are you referring to? The NC with Saban? Because I think we did that because our kicker got hurt or something. But that was totally different.

Why would you put all the pressure on your special teams to make a gigantic gain that your offense wouldn't even likely be able to make? Then, if you don't get it, the other team is basically in FG range or 5 yards away with two minutes left. And then they can play for the win rather than just thinking FG to tie it. That's crazy. Then your D is extremely nervous going out there and all the pressure is on them. Well, it didn't work out for that guy and he lost a game that they were winning.

Miles was completely absent of brain activity for the last minute and change during the LSU game. But at least that was a rushed situation. We already know he's not good in those situations. But he didn't blow a game that we were controlling like Yale's coach. He blew our chance at a miracle comeback.

Both decisions were dumb. If Yale's coach would have punted with his #1 in the conference punter to the other team who had no timeouts, he might have forced Harvard's coach into having a brain fart like Miles. He didn't even make the other team have to think.

Miles made the other team think. The Ole Miss D was like, "What the F are these guys doing spiking the ball?"

Speaking of dumb and dumber (and dumbest).
Agree with you. Again, speaking of dumb and dumber. Always consider the sources.
