i think his NFL future could be at DE or LB. he has the agility and athleticism to play LB, his 40 time isnt impressive but good awareness can make up for that.
I'm sure my opinion may not be taken highly here, but I am not sold that Beckwith is as good as he is being touted, also, I wouldn't be surprised to see not go to LSU from LSU's perspective and not from Beckwith's perspective.
Beckwith appears to have the tools. I'm just not sure how to use him in college. Footage of him shedding tackles as a QB dont do much for me.
LSU fans should have even more confidence in getting Beckwith since Bama will more than likely end up with Jonathan Allen who is visiting this weekend with his family and is higher on their board at that position (DE/LB type) based on reports. kid is originally from AL. listed at 6'3 225 but is now 240 plus, 4.5-4.6 type speed. so both teams will end up with very good players
yeah i havent heard Bama sites talking about him much lately. do u think he will start off at DE or will LSU give him the opportunity to play LB and then eventually move him to DE.
I try hard not to get wrapped up in 40 times, because some guys time a 4.4 in shorts and might run a 4.9 with pads and helmet on. But 4.83...yikes is right. Strap that guy to a parachute and tell him to get after it, lol. Maybe that's just a bad time and he'll run better times this summer. Hopefully he's one of those guys who doesn't lose speed with the equipment on.
