Hard to argue, they drew a lotta stars. In a related note, was looking at USC's website this morning. Tuition and fees are about $34,000 a year. I guess that's about right for a private school. Regardless, makes an athletic scholarship pretty valuable to the recipient.
Pay attention this time, this will be the third time I've posted it in this thread, I have no problem with USC's class being ranked #1. I find USC's class to be much more impressive than Florida's although Florida got a larger # of recruits.
Three of their signess are RB's...two of the 5 stars are RB's...they already have tons of RB's....you can't play all the RB's at one time...its the economic law of diminishing returns applied to football recruiting...
I feel it is pretty likely that Clausen is overrated. I still have no faith in Booty being a great player at USC.
I hate when Stuart Scott insists on saying "Booty Booty Booty Booty rockin everywhere" everytime USC clips are shown on SC.
Yes, three RB's in this class. McKnight, Green, and Tyler. McKnight and Green are the proverbial Thunder and Lightning. Tyler may or may not be recovered enough from his leg fracture to play by fall. Possibility he'll be a redshirt. Chauncey Washington will be the #1 back going into spring ball but he's a power back, not a speedy nor slashing style runner. And as much as I hate to say it, he's been academically shakey so there are no guarantees he'll make it to the field. Herschel Dennis has yet to apply for a 6th year of eligibility and the feeling is, he may not so that's once more RB we won't have. Allen Bradford was tried at a few positions last year and I think that's likely to happen again. CJ Gable will be slotted at #2 right along side of Moody. They will be battling for carries. Injury will also likely play a factor. The list isn't so long anymore. Nobody can provide the options that a player like JM can. Run, catch, block, go deep, return kicks. He's in a category by himself and that of course, increases opportunities for other plays, particularly for out TE's like Fred Davis. Last year, we were down to our 4th string fullback which killed more than half our playbook. I don't think you can ever have too many RB's and right now I'm comfortable with where we are.
Many of their fanbase would like to see Sanchez too. Booty had an unusually high number of balls batted down (It seemed anyway) but he did seem to improve as the season progressed. His biggest knock was locking in on a receiver and not going through check offs. In fairness to him, his OL didn't give him a lot of time- at times. A lot of this:  Hide your eyes vball.
seen this on a website: Here's Where The Last Scholarship Goes USC made a splash on signing day but even bigger news could be looming for the Trojans as Arkansas quarterback Mitch Mustain will visit in the next two weeks with the hope of transferring in the fall. Mustain, who started eight games for the Razorbacks, would be more than just a finishing touch on recruiting class that was ranked No. 1 by ESPN. Although he said he would leave Arkansas last month, he only recently contacted USC despite his teammate, Damian Williams, transferring here in January. Coincidentally, USC saved a scholarship just in case Mustain decides to transfer.
