Besides, Fontenot and Theriot, another reason to love the Cubbies!

Wow, it's hard to believe the amount of love we get at the CWS. I imagine other fans cannot stand to listen to a game we play in. Heck we get talked about constantly in games we don't play. Just amazing. Great read. :thumb:

In 2004 I went to a game between Cal State Fullerton and South Carolina. LSU was in the late game. The game was in the fourth or fifth inning and was a decent game. I had general admission seats in the right field bleachers. A man dressed in purple and gold appeared and asked if the seat next to me was taken. I said "no, have a seat friend".

Before I had a chance to introduce myself, the gentleman began to chant L-S-U, L-S-U, even though the team wasn't playing. Soon, several other fans joined in. As they did, the man reached in his bag, pulled out a handful of bubble gum, and threw it in the direction of the others chanting. Before he was done, the entire right field bleachers were chanting L-S-U...and a new generation of Tiger Baseball fans were born!

Just as soon as he appeared, he was gone...and then the Left field bleachers were chanting L-S-U...:thumb:

    True story.
