    He went winless in the Big 12 this year but he was their defensive coordinator when Auburn went undefeated in 2004. He also was the DC for Texas' NC in 2005.

    It's hard to win at Iowa State, but going winless in conference play is inexcusable.

    I personally think Buffalo's Turner Gill would have been a better hire.

    This is true. Iowa State was never able to earn those cute "National Championship" rings like the Auburn team got.... but Chizik did create the "Chizik Coin" when he got to ISU....marking a new era in Iowa State football.

    That went well.

    Wow, just wow. I love revelling in auburn's mistakes, but this is just plain stupid. How could you not hire turner gill, a man who in a very short time has turned buffalo from one of the worst teams in all of the ncaa into a bowl team this year. Something doesn't smell right about this...

    The torch has officially been handed back to Bama, just in case there were any doubts. It might be 6 in a row for Bama now.

    It will likely be the LSU/Bama game that decides the West. Geaux Tigers.
