ESPN Issues Apology to Baseball Fans

Its not ESPN's business to know what cox offers. I agree its sucks, but ifwe want ESPN360 then Louisiana people need to pressure cox.

We can get it on LSU's campus. It sucks. Its blocky and the streaming craps out all the time. Amazing that ABC's high def streaming of their shows goes off without a hitch on the campus but 360 is a clunker.

Who wants to watch it on SD when you have an HDTV? why did i spend all that money on an HDTV it i'm not gonna use it? why not change the game from SD and show the entire one on HD?

 

DirecTV 210, the dedicated feed in Louisiana, cut to the Fresno game and never came back. Either ESPN sent DirecTV the wrong feed or DirecTV showed the wrong feed, but it was supposed to be the same signal that Louisiana cable subscribers got on their SD channel. Since the game wasn’t even in HD, I didn’t much care about losing the ability to see the letter boxes on the ESPN2 HD channel. But Cox cable’s ESPN2 SD broadcast switched to the Fresno game for almost an inning. People in Shreveport said Comcast cable was fine, so I can only guess Cox screwed that part up. At least ESPNU replayed the game later, so I can piece together a complete copy at some point.

That is what I did too, but according to one of the above posts, ESPNU is gonna replay the game Friday at 3:30, so I reckon I will set my tivo again.

 

I must be a junkie, because I checked both channels before I bean calling and e-mailing people.

on DirecTV, the following channels had the Fresno game (I saw with my own eyes)
72 (ESPN2HD)
209-1 (also ESPN2HD)
209 (ESPN2 SD)
210 (ESPNa)
609 (ESPNU)

the other ESPN channels:
73 (ESPNHD) something else, don't remember exactly
206-1 (also ESPNHD) same as above
206 (ESPN SD) same as above
211 (ESPNa) a solid black screen



None of the above had the LSU/UCI game.

I have spoken to people at DirecTV who say all they do is forward the feed sent to them by ESPN. They only control what channels are sent to my reciever, nt what is playing on those channels.

I have emailed ESPN, and got the same automated response Sonny posted earlier in this thread. I responded to it, and am waiting for another automated response that answers nothing. Still searching for a number to call.

impossible that some minimum wae clerk screwed up and sent the wrong feed to DirecTV. It HAS to be a conspiracy. They hate LSU.

 

I have dish, and when the game began, they was showing the LSU game on ESPN2, and the Fresno game was on ESPNU, earlier in the day when I was looking, it showed the ESPNa was gonna be the LSU game but only in Louisiana and California. It was gonna be blacked out in my area.

After they switched the game, I got mad o:and stopped the tivo, and began looking, they were now showing the LSU game on ESPNa in my area, which is Mississippi.o:

Not once did they run the little ticker thing on the bottom to tell me that is was now on in my area.o:

So I ended up watching the remaining of the game on a channel that was not supposed to be showing it in Mississippio:
