So, this may or may not have made TF news, but just saw this on Rivals. ESPN and the SEC has joined forces for broadcasting rights, in a some unprecedented 15-year, $2 BILLION dollar contract. What it means is huge dollars for SEC schools, but for the fans it's tremendous coverage on all of ESPN's networks. This could mean 6+ SEC football games each weekend being shown. CBS still also has rights to some of the games, so this is just an all out high for SEC football. So, I wonder if this means that Herbie and Lee will have to curb their USC and Big 10 love? :hihi: Why also do I care? Well, actually b/c the big winner in all of this is SEC hoops. There will be a huge increase in ESPN's coverage of men and women's hoops (and you have to say that football helped get that done). That means Trent's and Van's teams will be on the tube more as well everyone else in the SEC. Helps with recruiting, helps with exposure to the sport, and honestly, there's no reason why SEC hoops can't be as dominant as SEC football. You think Alleva's pumped he left the ACC? :thumb: http://lsu.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=843481
Yes, but it is nto a TF thing. Annoying when the nonsense of "other" forums carries over here. Save it for the poop sites.
