As Stacey said, Heisman voting was done before the 2nd game and he was part of a defense that held Alabama to 6 f'n points. I'd hardly say that's being a no show. How many completions were made on him in that game? Hell how many times did they throw the ball his way that first game. I mean what, you expect a strip sack recovery touchdown every game? You know how hard that is? Why don't you look up those stats...Next......

....What will Johnny Football do next?

He rescues kittens from the middle of busy four-lane roads. He breaks out Scooby Doo costumes for Halloween. He collects touchdowns the way most Americans collect debt. He makes winning in Bryant-Denny Stadium look like a Sunday stroll in the park.

Texas A&M redshirt freshman quarterback Johnny Manziel turned the SEC into his own little playground this season, and that’s not supposed to happen in a league that prides itself on defense....

    ..................
I can only imagine what it's like for you in Texas. Maybe it's just the name that irks me, but still, they're layering it on way too thick. I've already heard more than enough about the "legendary Johnny Football". Next, I suppose they'll write a fucking song about him.

6 major awards and counting. Never been done in the history of college football. It's official, Te'o is now the greatest single defensive football player ever. I feel bad my DVR failed to report the facts accurately. I just hate being the last to know.

    Walter Camp (player of year)
    Bednarik (Defensive player of year)
    Lombardi (Best linemen)
    Thorpe
    Butkus (Best LB)

Yeah, lame isn't isn't it? I mean he's good but no where near what they are making him out to be. I actually feel there's a bit of backlash about the possibility of Johnny Football getting it that they are hyping Te'o a bit much.

Honey Badger was better than either of them.

TM7 didn't make any big plays in the biggest game of the season. Again, you don't make a big play in the biggest game of the season, you're not going to win the Heisman.

Te'o, on the other hand, came up with a big play in both their biggest games with INTs both @Oklahoma and @USC

Manziel came up huge in their biggest game of the season v Bama

RGIII came up huge in their biggest games of the season v Oklahoma and Oklahoma State

    those guys are Heisman worthy

Also, TM7 got suspended one game for using banned substances, i wonder if any body has won the Heisman after being suspended by their own team that season

Te'o, on the other hand, came back to play his senior year instead of going 1st Round in last Draft. (as a sidenote, he is a Mormon of Polynesian descent, playing for a Catholic school called the Irish)

Finally, to add to the sad tale that is TM7, think had he played this year for us....the competition for the Heisman this year isn't as tough with RGIII and Luck both gone...

I think had TM7 stayed clean he would have won the Heisman. He had the maruqee plays in the punt returns. His name was marred by the suspension, then it took him two games to get back to playing his style of football. You add those games to his resume and the fact LSU was the consensus number one on the verge of an all time great year. TM7 wins the Heisman.

I can see and accept either Manziel or Teo winning the award, both are deserving. I think if K-State is unbeaten Klein gets it. When it comes to pure value, he is the most valuable.

This coming from a Bama fan? Lol. Do you really think Ingram deserved the Heisman more than Te'o?

And to be fair to T'eo, he was one of the most, if not the most decorated, high school defensive players in American high school history

I thought he was going to USC to be their next great megastar LB....USC seemed perfect for this Polynesian Mormom from Hawaii, and USC had just come off 7 straight Pac Ten titles, and 7 straight Top 4 finishes ... USC had just had two LBs named All-Americans....Rey Maualuga, Brian Cushing...one the year before... Keith Rivers...one the year before that... Keith Rivers again...this was back in the Pete Carroll days before the s-word hit the fan

And T'eo surprised everybody, and crushed USC fans (i was trolling the big USC forum at the time), by deciding to go to USC's rival, who was a mediocre program coached by Charlie Weis

So that is one thing I'll always remember fondly about T'eo
