Got to say I never knew about the unspeakable tragedy that happened to Ara Parsegian (sp) when he lost his 3 grandchildren (his son's children), to the same disease. Their foundation created to research the disease has consumed his life since he left football.
I cannot imagine the grief to his family. They gave him an award recognizing his efforts over the last 18 years fund raising for this cause.

I refused to watch the espn awards. Shit's all rigged for Te'o anyways.

Agreed, isn't it also interesting that when they talk about that dude, they all seem to conveniently forget that LSU had a defender who was a heisman finalist a fucking season ago. They all talk about how defenders never get invited, and never win, and blah blah blah, but all seem to forget that Mathieu was in New York last year, and should have won the damn award.

TM7 was a no show in our 2 games v Bama last year. I don't care who you are who you play for, if you don't show up in the Big Games, then you don't deserve the Heisman. Te'o showed up in the all the Big Games this year, he is Heisman worthy

He isn't heisman worthy because he isn't the best player in the country, I mean, c'mon you're a "stats" guy. There are other defenders out there that had better stats than him AND played in tougher conferences. Excuse me....Notre Lame are too pussified to play in a conference, and it has paid off with a title game appearance.

Te'o was #2 in the nation with most INTs, and #1 for a LB, and #1 for a BCS conference player...he had 2 v Michigan, 1 v Oklahoma, 1 vs USC, etc

Why wasn't Jarvous Jones considered? He had better numbers than Te'o

    Here's a stat for you.

    2012:

    Johnny Manziel

    Forced Fumbles: 1

    Manti Te'o

    Forced Fumbles: 0

    2011:

    Tyrann Mathieu

Forced Fumbles: 5 (2 returned for touchdowns) 5th place in heisman balloting

He is a good linebacker, but he isn't a "dynamic" player. Fuck Oklahoma, fuck Michigan, and fuck USC. They all suck donkey nuts. Manti Te'o doesn't deserve the heisman because he isn't the best player in college football, but the biased ass media will no doubt make him get it. I hope all the fuckers go up in flames.

He was certainly a no-show against Bama the second time around, but that was after the Heisman ceremony anyway.

We've yet to see how Te'o will do in his big game against Bama.

Still, I'd rather he win than Manziel. The Aggies are getting pretty insufferable here in Texas. I now wish they hadn't beaten Alabama because it didn't keep Bama out of the big game anyway, and it screwed us out of the Cotton Bowl. Everyone is forgetting how many interceptions Manziel threw against LSU.

I'd rather Te'o win than Manziel also. And yes TM7 was the best player in cfb last year and deserved the heisman over Rg3 luck, everyone.
