I strongly feel you need to see a professional about your delusional thoughts. I know being a fan of a paticular team can cloud your thoughts and cause feelings of grandeur, but this is over the limit. You really need to consider professional help (or better yet,,,,,,apply for a spot on ESPN's gameday crew). View attachment 11277
There is too much talent up there. And it's being squandered. CW has admitted he had to change his entire method of coaching because he was used to diagramming for professionals, and not teaching teenagers. Pity he has the job he has. Despite ND's talent, and the fact they won't be down forever, CW will not right the ship. He will however continue to take a lot of $ and prestige from a very proud university. I give him two more years before they buy him out. 10-11 wins this season? No way.
That explains a lot, actually. Notre Dame has too much talent, support, and money to be losing. There have to be more subtle reasons for it.
Very well may be true. I can neither confirm or deny. I do know this: CW is NOT the coach alot of people expected. With all the talent he has, there is NO excuse. ND is a POOR football team. A coach is paid to steer the ship, no matter what the waters are like. I HATE these frikin analagies, but the point is-----ND isn't better than the creme of Division 2, and that proves he is incompetent. And I'm SICK of turning the channel and watching a mediocre team playing on my TV. I'll never understand how ND gets all this TV revenue when they've proved they suck. View attachment 11278
 I bleed purple and gold, charlie... Maybe your hatred of Notre Dame is impacting your emotional stability? Gents - I said I thought they'd go 8-4. But if you examine their schedule this year, there's a chance they get luckier. We'll see.
Bandit------------ No,,,,,I don't feel my hatred of Notre Dame affects my posts. I also BLEED purple and gold, but I LOVE to watch another college football team that's well coached and plays a great game. None of these qualities can be attributed to Notre Dame. However, we still get to watch them on game day no matter how bad they are coached or play. As a television viewer, I should be handed a quality game if a network is gonna spend the money to put it on my set. This doesn't seem to apply to ND. No matter how bad they are, they're right in front of my face weekend, weekout. And they suck. I was even forced to watch LSU humiliate them in a bowl game recently when they had NO BUSINESS taking the same field as my purple and gold. And then I get to watch an ESPN commentator tell me how great they're gonna be this year. I have to assume that they're just touting the game because the networks are paying so much money to ND to be able to televise them. WHY??? I don't get it. Does anybody out there understand me???? I guess I need some support. Maybe I'm just losing my grip. I invite any constructive criticism. View attachment 11279
I am fully with Charlie_c0756 on this one. The preview this year (at least from Holtz' standpoint) is nothing more than an echo of the last two seasons. To top it off, his surprise team (or whatever the category was) was USCe. Dude doesn't have a rational, unbiased thought is his head, and suffers from chronic craniul/rectal inversion. (His head's up his arse) ND's schedule IS weak this season. But certainly no weaker than LAST season...and they won what, 3 games? Bottom line...Weis is not a good head coach. I don't think it has anything to do with college vs pro. He just isn't a HEAD coach. Quite frankly, he was thought to be the "genius" behind the Patriot's offense...but they don't seem to have slipped any since his departure, soooo... Les Miles is often cheated credit for his success because he has "more talent on hand" than anyone. I call BS on that. USC, UGA, UF, UTex, and yes...ND...all are loaded with talent. You don't see :milesmic: losing to the likes of Stanford, Navy, or tOSU hihi do you? He has no more talent on hand than any of these coaches...but does more with it. Bottom line, ND is a poor team, because they are poorly coached. A GOOD coach can "out-talent" a lot of teams. It doesn't take a GREAT coach to do that. But an all out BAD coach cannot...and Chollie is a BAD coach. ND? 6 wins...maybe. Losses to USC (ugly), MSU, UNC, Pitt, and Meeeeechigan...at least.
I wonder if any of them could name the starting QB at Auburn. Hell...I had to look it up.... http://cfn.scout.com/2/745649.html Maybe I'm drinking kool aid here...but we seem to be in a lot better position when it comes to offense than Auburn.
