That catches me by surprise (Bostic)...

Kinda weird that ESPN came out with that and then ajc came out with a story about Nico Johnson getting his offered pulled by UGA because they were full at LB. I did some digging around today on the subject and it is possible that LB Jarvis Jones is a silent commit or the UGA staff feel he is a lock.

Bostic was also waiting on an offer from UGA and was told they had their sights on a LB already to finish out the class. So this could be looked at as a good thing because there goes one of the main options for Bostic and I think increases our chances at landing him. Also helps Bama because UGA was Bama's main competition for Nico.

I expect at least 4 commits at the upcoming LSU camp...

Pretty big number but who knows.

I would say 2 maybe 3 with one being Williford the beginning of the week following camp.

:geaux::crystal::helmet: What's the latest on Orelus decommiting from LSU? Is that still a possibility and if so, who's the next likely candidate to replace him? Williford? I hope we can keep Orelus and get Williford too, but that's probably wishful thinking. :geauxtige:champs::LSU231:

We don't have room for both, and the Orelus situation is a bit hush-hush, but don't expect him to sign with us.

I think Williford is actually a silent commit right now, but will make it public during or right after the camp. Sua-Filo said he isn't ready to commit, so I think the next most likely candidates would be Bell and/or Mingo.

:geaux::crystal::helmet: Commits from Williford, Bell and/or Mingo would definitely be good news and I'm hoping it happens. Looks like the general concensus is about 3 commits from camp and those would be three good ones.

Parso, what do you think the odds are on LSU getting Sua-Filo? I would think that if LSU gets him it would be a real coup. Not impossible with the reputation the LSU program has now, but a real long shot at best. Also, what about Nixon? Isn't he an OL from North Carolina? Do we have a chance for him? :geauxtige:champs::LSU231:

My order at the odds of possible commits before the start of the season. The 1st 3 are the highest possibility right after camp or during.

    1. Williford--Pretty much a lock unless Auburn pops in with an offer soon to make him think about it. 92%
    2. Bell--Think we will push for a decision
    3. Davenport--Think he will get it over with before the HS season.
    4. Sentimore (waiting on one thing)
    5. Appleton--Could get his offer at camp
    6. Mingo--Said he wants to take all of his officials but Coach Shows is pushing for a commit before the HS season.

Bostic is still up in the air and said he wants to take visits 1st but did not rule out a decision before HS season. Still a battle either way and the same with Chris Williams but he has not said it is a possibility he will decide before the season.

Throw in the possibility someone impresses like Williford last month and recieves an offer at camp and commits on the spot.

We have a better shot at Filo than Nixon but the distance factor and USC could be a problem in landing Filo.
