Earlier today I'm watching Nebraska/Mich on ESPN. At the conclusion 0f that game I'm expecting to see Clemson/NC ST. Well....the screen goes dark and it says "This program is not available for viewing in your area". Blah blah blah.... I have never seen ESPN do this. WTF? I immediately call DISH and complain. They assume NO responsibility. They say it is ESPN's prerogative to simply go dark. Of course I accused them of having a contract dispute with ESPN because I have never seen this. I'm in Albuquerque. No where near the North Carolina region. What is to prevent them from blacking out the LSU game at the top of the hour? This is total BS. Come on ESPN. Get your ***** together. :rolleye33:
I have no problem if they want to blackout the Lobos right down the road. It has always been my understanding that the blackouts applied to the region where the game was being played. Additionally, I thought it only applied to games that don't sellout. I can't imagine that NC St did'nt sellout with Clemson coming to town.
I'm starting to think the whole thing was a screw up. Now ESPN joined the game in progress in the fourth quarter. Sheesh!!!
happens too often. it has to do with Cox I believe or some cable company which has rights to a game. at least i think this is what it was before. happened last week with the Miami FSU game.
DISH told me Clemson was blacked out because it was being aired on ABC. Not true. Not in my region. I flipped to ABC and it was Texas Tech vs Missouri. What a crock.
