The ESPN magazine recently came out with an article on the success of college award-winners in the NFL. It found that running backs who win the Heisman tend to have considerably more success that quarterbacks who win the coveted trophy. It remarked that Tebow's recent win may have been the kiss of death for him based on what a slew of other QB winners have done. But the one thing that really stick out was the fact that the defensive award-winners fair a lot better in the pros that offensive award-winners, and that defensive linemen who win college hardware are the safest bet of all.
