Just wanted to give an update. I e-mailed Tim Keown and recieved this reply: I replied back: Mr. Keown, I understand your problems with the current system. In fact, if you asked any LSU or OSU fan they would definitely agree with a revamping of the whole thing. However, why pick this year to make such a broad claim that this National Championship isn't the real thing? You may not intentionally mean to disregard the hard work these kids did but when you state that we should just title it "Bob's Oil Company and Trash Bowl", or anything of the sort, then that is what happens. The National Championship is the pinacle of achievement and should be left as such until a playoff system is reached. Drill away at the BCS coordinators, drill away at the conferences who can't stand to create a championship game, drill away at the conference heads who decline any form of a playoff but don't drill away at the teams who, under current voting standards, have achieved their dream. Thanks for the reply, Mark
Great response back to him! I will be real curious if he comes back a second time but if he does keep me posted! I am glad you are leading the crusade, I could not be so eloquent!
I don't know why it came out like that when I posted it but I assure you that there were spaces where needed and words weren't attached to other words when I e-mailed him. I was using an old office computer so it messed up I guess with the HTML. I will post what he responds, if he responds. -Mackey
I knew this would happen. I posted in another thread that all the haters would be out in full force saying that there's not a true champion this year because no one's been dominant. Let them hate on. I guarantee they'd trade places with us in a heartbeat.
