I wrote her a clear, concise, and academic rebutle in which I explained why I thought her baseless article was grounds for liable and slander. At the end I concluded with that she should do the world a favor and go stick her fat ass in wood chipper. :geaux: :milesmic:
She would've been better off writing a scathing article about Michigan planning on hiring Les Miles without interviewing a black coach.
She is able to write this stuff and get away with it because most people these days don't bother to hold media conglomerates, like ESPN, accountable. Do the LSU fans really understand how much of a distraction to the LSU program the Michigan and Nebraska openings really created if not for the media milking it all for what it was worth? And what this season proved without a doubt is that the whole BCS spectrum can be manipulated by the networks to enhance their ratings and ultimate profits. The Ohio State - Florida and the LSU- Notre Dame games last year both yielded about a 14.5 Nielsen rating. Meanwhile, the Boise State - Oklahoma game yielded about an 8.5 Nielsen rating. The difference between an undefeated Hawaii and a two loss LSU is a whole lot of $$$$$$$$$$. What is it that drives the BCS? Cha-ching goes the cash register
I'll tell you what though. With all of the attention LSU garnered before the final BCS announcments,I beleive it helped us get into the big game.I said "helped".
Classy response :dis: "Better to keep your mouth shut and let everyone think your a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt." ...
The difference between LSU and Hawaii is that one is a legitimate BCS team while Hawaii is not. Hawaii wouldn't be bowl eligible if they played LSU's schedule and anyone older than 12 should see that clearly. It's like comparing the ultimate fighting champion to some 15 year old that beats up kids on the kinder garden playground. Yes both may be undefeated fighters but only one has taken a legitimate road there. There is no logical way you can argue why a team like Hawaii that feasted on creampuffs from start to finish has the right to even be compared to teams that earned their way into the BCS.
I know I'm just really hot about this right now, but I think this is just irresponsible journalism. Jemelly personally attacked Les Miles in this crappy excuse for an article. I wrote a formal complait to ESPN about her, and allowing Emmitt Smith and Lou Holtz to butcher their jobs when there are FAR better candidates with less "hardware" on their mantle. Anyway....:geauxtige:crystal:
Same here. She is horrible. I watched her sub for Jim Rome one day on ESPN and it was absolutely the worst job of commentating I had ever seen. Max Kellerman thought she was bad for god's sake. I wrote her a little while ago to bitch about her article.
At least Emmitt and Lou have the crediblility to be on ESPN. She is just a hack. I agree that Lou is terrible. I don't have that much of a problem with Emmitt. But that chick is the worst thing I have ever seen on television.
