They are beating a dead horse to more brutal death.

Even while ESPN opened up their telecast with admitting that most people think that the slap to the Tech player's face was absolutely a non issue (including the kid's parents who were present at the game), they spent the next 15 minutes of the telecast talking about it.

This simply isn't all that newsworthy.

Can't see the story here. Everyone involved says there's no story.

Having said that, considering his history, maybe Bobby should keep his hands in his pockets when he talks to players.

Bobby Knight is one of the best basketball coaches EVER. Until he puts hands around another player's neck or throws another chair onto the court, the media needs to stay off his back.

A couple of nights ago Knight tipped a players head up, and oh what a fuss. At the game last night, a game some called a "love fest", Knight could not keep his hands off his players. On more than one occasion Knight was seen giving a touching the tush of a player, applying what could be construed as a spanking. I am surprised that Keith Olbermann hasn't proffered this as proof that Knight sexually abuses his players.
