I was just reading that. Smart move, Conwell stayed hurt and dropped passes when he did play. Miller is young and made big strides this past year. Another smart move by our organization.
I always liked Conwell. He was a high character guy who brought a lot of leadership into the locker room. It's just sad that his career with the Saints has been marred with injuries. Of course now, he'll catch on with another team, have an injury-free season and probably go to the Pro Bowl!
Very true about Conwell being a character guy. I remember him being one of the faces on TV about how much he did for people after Katrina. But I still think it was smart to let him go. Business is business.
I met him at training camp last year and I really couldn't name a nicer guy off the field. Ah well, hope he does good outside the Saints (unless he goes to Atlanta or Minnesota).
