1 year. Harvey Williams was the 21st. player taken in the first round by KC in 1991. That same draft, the first LSU prop 48 football player was also drafted. Oh, the prop 48 guys name was Walker Lee. Guess his last name? Reid should be taken in the 1 st. round this year. He'll wow them in the combine, then once they sit down and talk with him, its over. The guy is a talent. Congrats. We had went out to eat one Sunday here in BTR, I was talking with Chris Carrier, his phone rings and Chris says, "This is Eric Reid, I need to take this call." After, Chris tells me, Eric just gave his verbal to Les and LSU.
Chris was my high school civics teacher. He was aloof as hell, but a good guy and a good teacher. After school everyday during my 1st 2 years of HS, I had to walk several miles down Government St to my mom's office and wait for her to get off work in order to get home. One day, he was walking out of the post office when he saw me walking down the street and offered me a ride. I never forgot that because I could never even get a lift from any of my a-hole classmates. Not a bad way to remember an all-SEC safety that I grew up watching play for the Tigers.
If he can be got cheap, I'd love for the Saints to take a chance on him. It's not like the guys they have now are any good and he might experience a resurgence of sorts in Spagnuolo's 4-3. If not, release him. No harm, no foul.
They both still start, and I would argue that Dorsey being a bust is mainly a product of putting him in a 3-4 defense.
No doubt about it. That's why I posted in another thread that I'd like to see the Saints take a chance on him when he contract is up (next year?). Spags needs quality d-linemen for his scheme to work and he would get a chance at a 'rebirth' so to speak.
