Eric Reid will get beat like a drum at the next level in pass coverage. He was beat on the final TD and the 3rd and long. His emotional play, hard hitting and leadership are terrific but he was made to look foolish last night.
Sure he can improve in areas but he is a heck of a player. He will be drafted high based on his potential. He should leave after last night. If LSU plays well and looks promising then its a lil more to consider.
I was disappointed in Eric Reid's performance for much of the season, as well as last night. His coming back is a gamble for him, though. He's a really smart guy with a ton of the measure-ables that the NFL drools over. He will make some money immediately, without having to worry about an injury next year. I was not at all happy with all of his personal fouls this year, either.
I agree. Based on what I have seen this year I was Astonished at his draft projections. He misses tackles and seems to be late to the ball. A lot. I just dunno.
He reminds me of Roman Harper coming out of college. Big, physical player but weak in pass coverage. We all see how that's worked out for Harper. He got a big contract last year but has underperformed much of his career.
Me too. He may get drafted in the first round but in 3 years he will be on his second team and in 6-8 years he is out of the NFL. He will torched in the NFL and there are those that evaluate talent for the NFL that see it now. In addition WHY would any decent QB with NFL aspirations, come to LSU to "hone" his skills? Said it before this game, the offense on this team is broke, the defense as proven last night, is on it's way below water. Is LSU the next Auburn???
