Reid was laying the wood to Trent. He was hitting Trent HARD,early and often. The first several plays of the game, Reid was in on every tackle on Trent and was the first to hit him. I guarantee you Trent is feeling it this morning.
They actually did mention it, but only once. It was right after Reid stuffed Lacy in the backfield. Unbelievable game by Mr. Reid. He even caught the blocked FG. LSU proved that it has the playmakers on D that bama doesn't.
Remember when we use to have to hold our breath everytime a team threw a deep pass because of our safeties. Since that Cotton Bowl loss to Texas we've gotten great safeties and boy they've made a huge difference to my blood pressure.
I wonder what Landon Collins was thinking sitting up there with the Bama recruits watching him shine. I have heard that that may be the reason he avoids us is because he knows he will have to play behind Reid for a while.
Landon will be a Tiger. He watched that game and he saw LSU players enjoying themselves out on that field Saturday night playing for victory. On the Bama side, not so much fun with the mighty midget dictator running things. He almost had an aneurysm.
Reid is gone after next year and Collins might redshirt. He won't lose anymore than a season sitting "behind" Reid. If Reid stays for his senior season it's only because he wants to. The NFL saw a future first rounder making plays on the biggest stage. Actually they saw two...Reid and Mo Claiborne. I see three consecutive years with top-10 picks from the secondary. PP7 last year, Mo this year, then Reid next year. Not to mention, Taylor has played himself into at least 1st round consideration this year, even though he probably slips lower based on team need.
I don't know what Nick Saban's contract looks like but I don't think there is any guarantee he will be at Alabama in two years. One reason is the Penn State Job could be opening up and the other is when things get really tough he seems to bail. Who wouldn't want to come and be a part of the tradition, glory of LSU football. Our coach aint too bad either, what a joy he must be to play for. I don't know what the Bama secondary looks like but maybe Landon would also be sitting behind someone anyway once he sees our domination over the Gumps he will be sold!:hihi:
