Close HR. It was 1972 (I think) and LSU played one of the worst first halves in history (sound familiar?). It seems they were ahead 9-0 or something. Ole Miss was ahead 16-10 when Bert Jones and the Tigers got the ball with about 2 minutes left. The Tigers got inside the 10 or so with 11 seconds left. Bert Jones threw into the end zone twice and there was 1 second left when Bert threw to brad Davis for a TD. Rusty Jackson one of the last straight on kickers hit the extra point to win. The signs on the border said to set your clock back 1 sec. It was a great finish and the stadium went wild. That was when the LSU-Ole Miss game meant so much to both teams.
Well, I was pretty close, really thought there was an add back, but I mostly remember reading/hearing about the signs. One thing for sure, that was a MAJOR league rivalry back then. Major.
