You know, it seems like every time the subject of new coaches come up, we're told to beware that the coach in question has a "dream job" that he would gladly bolt LSU to take. Miles wants Michigan, Saban is going to the NFL. Even when DiNardo was mildly popular when he was here, we were warned that if the Notre Dame job came open he was gone. I've always wondered, where is that hot coaching commodity who sees LSU as his "dream job?" And the name that has always popped into my mind is Ensminger.
He will have be involved with the QBs along with Gonzales as well. Has some Texas ties but most of his ties are in North LA which is good because we have Frank solidifying the South.
I like this hire. I grew up watching and listening to LSU games when Ensminger and Woodley were the QBs.
Gordy Rush is on 104.5 with Mascona saying that Tiger fans should just forget about anyone being the Quarterbacks coach other than Gary Crowton. Ensminger will be the TE coach and TE coach only. Sucks.
Gordy is wrong. Can't expect the passing game coordinator to not have any QB duties and even if Ensminger is not officially labeled a QB coach he has experience and will coach what he knows. They are not going to put a bubble around the QBs and only give Crowton the keys.
