My only point in bringing up Auburn was because the crux of the article was about SEC superiority and Auburn would be part of that crowd. As I've read here often, ANY SEC team AT HOME is a tough opponent, unranked or not.

What would have given USC a better reputation, Auburn at home or Ole Miss?

I don't know. But here's a suggestion for you on a great feature available through V-Bulletin. Use it.

To remove a user from either the Buddy or Ignore Lists, un-tick the box next to their name and click the 'Save List' button.

To add a user to either list, enter their name in the empty boxes for that list and click 'Save List'.

Sad to say, but first game of the season? Probably Ole Miss. Auburn is the slowest starting decent football team I've seen in a long time, has been that way for a while now. And I'm sure the AU fans on this board will back that up. About the only year in recent memory that this wasn't the case was 04, which coincidentally is the year they went undefeated and DEFINITELY should have been in the title game instead of OU.

VT may have been a common opponent in 04 but one was the first game of the entire football season and the other was almost the last. AU had the letdown factor going on in the bowl, plus I'm pretty sure they were shutting VT out for most of that game so i don't think it was as close as the score indicated.

Kenny would have been sweet talking them from the bench. Pretty sure Caddy and Ronnie would have been getting most of the carries. I'd have taken AU and the points anyway.

Oh and SCREW AUBURN! OK feel better now.

That year? Ole Piss finished tied with us for the best record in the SEC (they even fly a massive banner bragging of their division co-championship), while Auburn finished 6th (they lost to Ole Piss in '03). So congrats to the Pac-10 Champ for beating the 6th place SEC team. Also think we need to annoit Georgia and Georgia Tech to the Co-Co-Co-Co National Championships, and elite status for also molesting Auburn that year.

Ummm...I'm well aware of the features available on TF. I prefer to be able to offer an opposing view when you bring up your USC crap. It's really tiring and really not appropriate here IMHO.

vball, the "quit cryin'" thread may be more appropriate, or perhaps you can start the "official bitchin' & moaning because everyone doesn't agree with me" thread.

I usually don't have much problem with vball's posts and actually used to enjoy them, but she comes over here with this condescending attitude post championship game and tries to gnaw into our moment with touts of USC glory. :rolleye33:

You can't steal my joy. :D

Go read the "top team of the decade" thread and feel free to vote. :hihi:

I actually like rival posters who have some pride in their team and don't just kiss our asses. Vball doesn't flame or insult anyone and she can say her piece, as far as I'm concerned.

I second that. Just be ready for some counter banter, but vball takes it in good stride.
