You're wasting your time. Your point is valid, but the negatigers don't care about numbers anymore:dis:
Its my last go on the subject. I am at the point now where I am just going to ignore people who revert to outlandish claims with nothing to back them up. UNC had talent all over the field. Yes, we do have so called "more talent" but its YOUNG!..
The constant negativity put me off the forum for a couple of days, but I came back with your plan. As far as UNC, people heard they had some starters out and figured we'd blow them out. We did for awhile, but they rallied. I figured we would win the game by seven because I knew they would come at us with everything they had eventually. It wasn't pretty, but it was a win. I think that UNC will definately put all of the bad stuff behind them and win more games this season. We are very talented, but people want immediate satisfaction. After all, most people are fairly drunk when they watch the game, so....
it's not just on the forums, have you listened to baton rouge sports radio this week. Geez, especially on Ott's show. You would think we lost by 50.
Yeah, I know. It's hard to take, but it's as if Miles bashing has become fasionable. After watching the Saints game, which was an ugly win, no one complains. After the LSU game, win or lose, it's time for Miles to go. Everyone really needs to just calm down. If they don't like Miles and think LSU is stupid to keep him, sell their tickets and game gear and stop watching.
You know i think alot of it, is people just knee jerk reacting instead of looking at everything from a distance. Our offense was improved. If Patrick Peterson doesn't have a mile in return yards, making our average starting position the 49 yard line, we probably have alot more yards than we did. Take the 3 fumbles away and who knows, the holding by TBob, there is a silver lining. I will be the first one to say that i don't like Crowton's formations or his offensive scheme, but we are improving.
I agree... I just don't see how people can regard the NC Defense as the best in the country, yet the second stringers are nobody. That's BS.. That second string defense could have beaten a few top 25 teams last week, or even a top 10 team (Florida)... Sure we didn't look great, but whatever. Chalk it up to first game bugs before we start moping and waiting on Basketball to come back around. But then again, this is normal... It's hard work for some people to be this good.
The sledding was probably made tougher when UNC's starting LB corps was cleared to play at the last minute. That group gave us hell on short passing and running plays.
