"WE" aren't doing a damn thing other than enjoying what makes college football great, because "WE" aren't going to be on the damn field. Hard football facts don't mean anything, either. Otherwise, there would never be an upset. Come on, man. Don't spoil a great week in preparation for a great game this weekend by displaying a defeatist attitude. OK, LSU has not played up to their potential thus far, even in a win at UGA, got it. But, dude, give them some credit for finding a way to win. To have this game in BR, at night, top 5 teams, not sure it gets any better for the fans because "we" sure as hell aren't out on the field.
Gee, thanks for explaining that one to me. Guess that frees up my week a bit. Calm down, podnah. :dis: Of course, they do. That's just something that underdogs say. Actually, upsets only exist because of statistical and tangible inequalities between certain teams. You couldn't be more wrong. Preparing? What are you preparing for? I thought you weren't going to be 'on the damn field', like the rest of us? And what, exactly, am I spoiling? We've already determined that I won't be on the damn field. So, what then? How do my thoughts on the upcoming game have such an impact on anything that would render it 'spoiled'? And where am I displaying a 'defeatist attitude'? Please, tell me where I said that I think LSU will lose. Or at least try to directly contradict any argument that I've made instead of flying off the handle because you don't like my pragmatic approach. How do you know that I haven't? And what does that have to do with anything? That doesn't mean that I have to convince myself that they will steamroll the Gators. That's not nearly as profound of an observation as you seem to think.
if we cant run the ball better than against uga then there is little chance. it would depend on having a big turnover margin, big plays or consistently getting to their qb. im putting my hopes on new ways to protect jj. new ways to get to their qb. im not sure this is true regarding defenses.
This is a strange week, we got a Tiger fan convinced we won't win and a Gator fan telling a Tiger fan to give his team more credit....
If this was a Spurrier Gator team I'd take LSU by 10, but the difference in the Meyer era has been the ability of Florida to lean on the defense to get the job done when necessary- I feel this game comes down to one thing- Brantley being a manager- if he can keep from turning it over and get us say 17 points I say we win if not we lose, because LSU isn't dropping 20+ on us without a Defensive or Special teams TD.

Oh, and I think most Florida fans would take it if LSU "shutsdown" Florida like UT did- Florida punted once in that game- if Florida only has to punt once against LSU I like the Gators chances.
I hope for our sakes he does- frankly, I trust this defense more than I do the offense without Tebow, since the Ole Miss game they've never let us down, not once.
I predicted 11-1 with a loss to Florida. In light of the way this season has played out so far before the Georgia game I thought the Tigers would be lucky to win 8 or 9 games. Ater seeing the improved defense against UGA and the fact that the Offense could have put the game away in the first half I am at this point still in a quandry about how good this team actually is. Will the O line be able to open holes for Scott and Williams and establish a decent running attack against the Gaytor defense? I don't know. A huge key to this game will be the time of possesion. Keeping Florida's offense off the field long enough to keep LSU's D well rested is of huge importance. Whether Tebow plays or not the Tiger's need to control the clock. The huge unknown factor is not only whether Tebow will play or not but how effective will he be if he does play. My favored scenario would be for LSU to win with Tebow playing at his best so there can be no excuses. Unless TT is fully cleared by all the doctors that it is 100% safe for him to play with no risk of further brain damage he shouldn't set foot on the Tiger Stadium turf except for warmups. I would hate to see such a talented kid with such a great future ending up slurring his words like a punch drunk boxer before he reaches the age of 30 Tebow's style of play means that he will get hit a lot and get hit hard. He is a tough guy and undoubtably he wants very much to play in this game, but unless he is totally cleared by all doctors he shouldn't let Urban Meyer talk him into playing. If Tebow does play and is capable of playing like Tim Tebow Florida will win. If Tebow plays and is ineffective or if he dosen't play I believe that LSU will find a way to win I am not being negative. Just saying what I believe. This is an internet message board. Nothing that any of us post will have any effect whatsoever upon whatever actually happens. Whatever happns Saturday I am looking forward to a great game and a rematch December 5th in the Georgia Dome :geaux: and GEAUX REBELS against Alabama
