A point that has been mentioned, but not really elaborated on, and not to take away from UF's past accomplishments, but just who have they really beaten this year. UT was their toughest test and UT kept them pretty much in check. It's nice that they can smack around some nobodies, but when it comes to the big boys they haven't built up the resume we have this year. I think many are relying on their past to think they will smack us around. It is quite possible that they will match up well against us, but not have been tested like we have. I like our chances.
I'm hopeful that we won't be put in that situation much, if at all, but if we are he'll certainly go for it. After last week should a field goal or any points be on the table, i think he'll take the safe route.
Our resume of big boys isn't impressive either. Using the argument that Florida struggled with Tennessee doesn't sit right with me either. Anyone can have a bad day. Look at Florida's loss to Ole Miss last year, just two weeks before they dominated us in the 2nd half of that game. The best we can hope for is our offensive line to finally live up to expectations, solid defense, a balanced playbook, and a reasonable amount of luck. Crowd will be a given as long as we're in the game.
I am also comfortable with truth and reality. The difference (not right or wrong) is that I choose to look at the positive points, while you must admit you lean toward the negative things (By lean I mean as Pelosi "leans" to the left). I said, we could lose....I get that. As I have stated before, It is not because I think we are great, but more that I do not think UF is as good as last year and the Tebow issue could be big for us, playing or not. Everyone does realize that UF has not played a team that will go to a bowl game or probably end with a winning record yet.....RIGHT? We have beat 2, maybe 3 bowl teams and 2 on the road. My take is more about UF than believing we are great. However, we have shown improvement and we are loaded with talent. Playing at home makes ME look at this with some optimisim. (NOT BLIND FAITH)
