    Hey GDF! No matter how bad it seems, 247 Sports has Oregon's recruiting class ranked 2 spots hired than LSU. Which isn’t saying much.

    Talk about culture shock! I guess a Duck is always a welcomed sight in the South. I enjoy diverse conversation, but others, unfortunately, see it as an opportunity to criticize others. So my question is, have you ever met Phil Knight?

    Oregon Ducks hiring Georgia defensive coordinator Dan Lanning, per source

    Lanning, 35, was promoted to defensive coordinator at UGA in 2019 and has called the plays for the Bulldogs since.

    Georgia’s defense leads the country in scoring (9.5 points per game), is second in total defense (253.2 yards per game) and is third against both the run (81.69 ypg.) and pass (171.5 ypg.) and is 15th on third-down conversions (32.84%).

    A native of Richmond, Missouri,.. a graduate assistant at Alabama, which won the national championship,.. He was hired as inside linebackers coach at Memphis in December 2015 and spent two seasons in that role before joining Kirby Smart’s staff at Georgia as outside linebackers coach in 2018,.. Lanning is No. 8 in the 247Sports recruiter rankings this season,.. Oregon and Georgia open the 2022 season in a Chick-fil-A Kickoff game on Sept. 3 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta

    A good hire for vyou guys. Lincoln Riley fled to the west coast to avoid playing SEC defenses but look like he didn’t count on one heading his way.

    Lanning’s starting compensation ranks fifth in the Pac-12 and 27th nationally,.. up slightly from the $4.4 million base salary Mario Cristobal was in line to receive under his existing contract at UO, but below the $7 million base Cristobal was being offered before leaving for Miami

    Lanning’s buyout to leave UO is $14 million through Jan. 31, 2023 and decreases annually to $10 million, $7 million, $3 million, $2 million and $1 million, respectively
