The bad news continues. I just saw on ESPN that Thibodeaux declared for the draft.

Thibodeaux is immensely talented and will do well in the pros. I know he flashed how great he could be at Oregon, but I am not sure he played up to the hype all the time. Some of that could have been due to injuries. You would be a better judge of that me. In many ways he reminds me of many ex-LSU players in the NFL who have had good careers, but who never matched the expectations that the LSU fanbase had of them.

i'm not an expert on the nuts and bolts of line play, but to me it seemed like we needed another high caliber DE, the opposing team would adjust and focus just on Thib, would run plays away from him, doing so they could contain him, nullify him somewhat, and would take their chances against our other guys

this is what Chip Kelly said after our win

on Oregon linebacker Kayvon Thibodeaux and the plan entering the game

“Yeah, we did a lot of things. We slid the protection to him. We kept maxing protection, put the tight end on em, and we tried to give him as many different looks as possible. And he’s a really talented player and you do have to give him credit. I think he’s what everybody thinks he is – a heck of a football player. But we gave him every different look that you could possibly give him, so credit to him.”

WOW GDF, you're taking shots to the chin one after another. Sorry, Bud. Hang in there, I don't think Nike U has to worry about NIL.
