EUGENE — Oregon defeated Arizona, 41-19, at Autzen Stadium on Saturday.
    but,..

Never before has an Oregon Ducks team ranked in the top five appeared to be this shaky,.. the score didn’t totally reflect the action on the field,.. truthfully, if not for the largely unforced, head-scratching 5 interceptions thrown by the Arizona quarterback, the Ducks would have been in serious danger of losing to a team that hasn’t won a game in two years,. who had already suffered losses to San Diego State of the Mountain West Conference and Northern Arizona of the Big Sky Conference.

the point of attack was won by an Arizona offensive line that entered the game having allowed 10 sacks in three games and to a team averaging under 80 rushing yards per game..... Oregon’s interior defensive line has to find answers for why inferior competition has out-played them in back-to-back games.

arizona was able to repeatedly sustain drives and what has to be frustrating to Oregon’s coaching staff is what UA did was not at all surprising.... the wildcats followed a similar approach to fresno state and stony brook, incorporating 12 personnel (one back, two tight ends) and occasional tempo and Oregon had no answer

with a trip to Stanford, (Saturday 12:30 p.m. pt, ABC) which relies almost exclusively on two and three tight end packages, UofO has to find answers for what has been a season-long and growing problem that opponents have exploited.

    my prediction,.. ducks 31-17 furd

I don't know. Cincinnati has done everything they can haven't they? It's not like Fickell is dodging anyone. Imagine if he'd actually gotten Burrow there. What a fascinating move that would have been for both schools. Glad Joe chose us. I think Cincinnati is more deserving than Boise usually was.

Cincy is more deserving than any group of 5 school ever has been. But beating 2 overrated power 5 schools and running through an AAC schedule isn’t close to having to play the schedule of an SEC or Big Ten team.

I’m just saying, don’t punish a 1 or 2 loss team who had to play an SEC West or Big Ten East schedule week in and week out and reward Cincinnati for their cream puff schedule.

Arkansas for example, has to play A&M, Georgia, Ole Miss and Auburn in back to back to back to back weeks, just 2 weeks after playing Texas and then closes the season playing Mississippi State, LSU and Alabama back to back to back. No way in hell Cincy comes out of that unscathed.

Cincinnati gets a bye before Notre Dame. They close the season playing Navy, Tulane, Tulsa, South Florida, SMU and East Carolina.

It’s not even close and I’m just hoping they lose so we can put this conversation to bed. Realignment coming and hopefully expansion. Until then.
