    good man,.. I've always hated em too,.. I lived in and around San Francisco, proud to say everyone hates LA there,.. I went to high school near los angeles,.. the fans there mostly just don't care

    The Pac-12 hasn't even started playing yet, but it might have been one of the biggest winners of the weekend.

    With Oklahoma State's overtime loss to Texas, there are no undefeated teams left in the Big 12, which puts the league in the worst shape of the Power 5 conferences in the College Football Playoff race. With Clemson, Alabama, Ohio State and Notre Dame (in whichever order you'd prefer to argue) all winning on Saturday, and one-loss Georgia still hanging around on the bubble, the Big 12 has officially taken a nosedive into CFP irrelevance.

    ‘By God, they built a masterpiece’: Oregon Vietnam veterans memorial skips politics, allows vets to find solace

    Unlike the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., whose placement on the National Mall and stark listing of the dead highlights — even if subconsciously — American policy failures, the Oregon monument fosters personal reflection and commemoration. The setting has nothing to do with politics; it’s solely about those who served their country and the bonds they made with one another during that faraway conflict.

    The idea for the Oregon monument came from a small group of local veterans who attended the dedication of the national memorial in November 1982.

    “They came back from that experience unified that they wanted a living memorial,” says Tim Gallagher, a Vietnam War veteran himself who, serving as the mayor's chief of staff, helped the group secure an 11-acre site in Portland's Washington Park . “They wanted to make a different statement — and they did. The Oregon memorial is serene. There’s not much serenity in this world.”

    It will come down to the SEC championship game. If Georgia beats Alabama they are both in along with Clemson and Ohio State. If Alabama wins that opens the door for an undefeated Oregon team depending a lot on how things work out for Notre Dame.

    Clemson will still be without Trevor Lawrence for this weekend's game with the Irish. No matter what happens I could see both of them in the playoffs along with Alabama and Ohio State. All of those teams still control their destiny especially because of the national bias in favor of Notre Dame.

    Oregon has to win out and still hope the chips fall their way

    that's the way I see it too,.. a lot of chips have fallen our way so far, lol,.. though we're not in the driver's seat, we are riding shotgun
