Even some Musk cheerleaders and conservatives are condemning Elon's petulant, arbitrary bans and suspensions of journalists:

    https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/poli...urnalist-suspensions-from-twitter/ar-AA15nhSv

Some truth about Elon's sudden new rule for banning private jet tracking information:

THAT INFORMATION IS ALREADY PUBLIC. Private jets use taxpayer-funded air traffic controllers and airports, and their flight data is part of routine, publicized, daily flight information. So, if Elon is truly worried that his family would be targeted for having his private jet tracked then he should stay out of our airways and airports. The TRUTH of the matter is that he's on a purge of journalists critical of him.... the latest Linette Lopez ban, against whom he's had a social media vendetta since at least 2018, a big case in point. The obvious reason he's banning these people has nothing to do with his flight information, which has always been PUBLIC. When Elon or anybody else says he banned/suspended journalists for posting "private" information he/they are LYING, because, I repeat, that information is PUBLIC.

Now, as the owner of a private company, Elon Musk has every right to ban whom he pleases. More power to him... even when he's causing Twitter and Tesla stock values to nosedive. But the original poster and those who agreed with him that Elon Musk is a purveyor and protector of "free speech" once again look like the foolish goobers they are. Musk is banning progressives while allowing previously-banned right wing loons, neo-Nazis, foreign propagandists, and misinformation peddlers.

    insiders are turning against him!
so he doesnt have the right to be safe and also travel? this is like a school bully saying if he doesnt want a beating then dont come to school.

also its not a hypothetical his family has already been targeted.

i dont think her case has anything to do with planes, but publishing other private info of other people.

elon has not made this claim. and the information is not exactly freely available, as one must merge some data and cross check shit to figure it out, because rich people pay for their tracking numbers to change. one must piece together that changing info to figure it out. and elon has no responsibility to publish his own children's location on his platform.

is it so oppressive to not track a plane? you find this to be a crippling restriction of your freedom? well then find another social network where you can post all your enemies flight info and hope like hell their children are killed.

you libs are so fucking obsessed with twitter its incredible

why is that such a problem unless you want to attack his children?

And, speaking of "free speech", a certain orange idiot would sign an executive order that would prohibit any Federal department, office, or agency for labeling any speech as misinformation. In other words, somebody could go on twitter and claim that Drano has been found to be an effective preventive of Covid. Or that immigrants were stockpiling AR-15's to start a civil war against gringos. Or other bullshit. And he would prohibit anybody in our government from assuring the public that such information is false. Of course, we no longer have to worry about what that orange idiot says he'll do in office:

yeah thats called free speech. lies are allowed. you dont want the govt truth agents deciding things.

dont be so scared. lies are out there. dont use them to justify more control. we dont need your govt truth minster telling us what is true or not. that fascist and authoritarian.

when biden says the vax prevents virus, and he is lying, so be it. let him do it.

and you should oppose this too, as you lie more than almost anyone. i dont call for you to be silenced, i just prove what a shitbag liar you are.

it may take a long time, like when you lied about muslims, but the patient truth teller will win. and even when you wont admit you are lying, we know. you dont trick us. the loss of credibility of the liar is what protects people from liars.

Donie O'Sullivan comments on his ban from Twitter. In a nutshell, he was banned for reporting that someone else was banned, upon a rule that didn't exist prior to his ban.

if any of you clowns did the slightest due diligence you would note he is suspended, which is temporary, not banned. and when people get suspended, they are not the one to ask why. ask the person who suspended them why. if i had to guess i would say he posted some private info. 7 day ban, he learns his lesson, no big deal.

its just an app, its not sentencing a person to jail. most people would be healthier for leaving it anyway.

    Repeating:

Private jet flight information is PUBLIC, paid for by taxpayers, so anybody here who stated that the student and the several journalists who were banned/suspended for posting "private" information is a LIAR.

    https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/oth...A15n7NL?cvid=18fae4ee81754af69697d964bb70db9b

Twitter’s own policy states that “sharing information that is publicly available elsewhere” is not a violation of their doxxing policy, and previously had an exemption for journalists, who often report on real-time events.

My suggestion to Elon: if you don't want your son's private jet flight information known: keep him off your private jet flights.
