Saban gets them. He gets them because he’s built his program to make ALL of them believe they are going to be millionaire NFL stars. Hard to argue. That said…the effed up state of college football and where it is headed I lay on his shoulders. I generally think he has been bad for the game. I simply do not believe he’s clean in recruiting particularly. But I digress.
So for a rumor like that to hit, you have to start wondering if things are being done in the "correct" order. i.e. 1. player decides to transfer from college A 2. Representative/well-monied booster of college B contacts player about coming to college B, 3. player transfers to college B. When the rumor paints as complete a picture as this one, you have to think step 2 is happening before step 1. No way can that be legal, even in the NIL era.
