I've never seen someone luck into Superbowls like Eli did. He's garbage and his true colors are showing. I remember that there was a time when some people (idiots) considered Eli better than Payton b/c of the rings. What a fucking joke.
Exactly. Both of those Super Bowl teams were nowhere near the best teams in the regular season. Both went 9-7 or something like that and almost missed playoffs altogether. One of them was a team the Saints beat 41-24. They just happened to get hot at the right time. In fact, they probably owe Brett Favre one of those rings because if it wasn't for an awful pick he threw to Cory Webster, they wouldn't have even been in the game. Eli definitely capitalized on his opportunities, but I'll always remember him for tripping on his own LEGacy in 2003 LSU-Ole Miss game.
I'm not sayin' he's anywhere near Payton, but the throw to Manningham in SB46, the escape from the sack in SB42 and the pounding he took vs. the 49ers in the NFCCG tell me ya'll are a little bit wrong. Eli is NOT a garbage QB. He threw for almost 5000 yds in 2011 and helped carry that team until the D starting playing. He's not anywhere near the best, but he doesn't suck. He's been every bit as clutch as Tom Brady and a hell of a lot more than Payton.
It's actually through 6 games, but that doesn't matter, 15 is way way too much. And after the mess he made early on in the game, he has a reprieve because his defense is playing well enough, and has a wide open TE in the seam inside the 20 and overthrows him. They had that game won, the Bears defense was reeling.
yea he sucks, they hide Eli with the play calling and defense. They cant do that this year because of his line and defense. He is not that great cause you name a few plays. Hell 4 or 5 QBs are throwing for 4k plus now, its a passing league.
