Re: We don't really need that pesky First Amendment...

It also ignores the fact that this case was started under the Bush administration. The 3rd circuit appeal was argued on 10/25/06. It takes a long time to get to the Supreme Court.

If both sides dislike her, then she is probably the correct choice.

Red - all valid points. I don't mean to do a drive-by on this one, but I'm sort of swamped right now and being pulled to the field. I'll make my point when I get a few moments.

I wish we could get a few more judges who aren't from the northeast. Someone from the south would be good!

I vote for a good looking candidate! :thumb:

The worst clique is that they are all Ivy Leaguers--Harvard Law, Yale Law, Princeton Law. How rarefied is that air and how far from Main Street?

It's like a law graduate from Stanford, Texas, or Duke can't even aspire to be a Supreme anymore.

So, if she wrote a thesis on the topic of Nazis from 1933-1945, then she would be a Nazi? if she wrote a thesis on Atilla, she would be a Hun. I read a thesis last week on the Claiborne geologic formation, sonovabitch must have been written by a rock.
