I don't think Florida can sign any more this class.

Much of a recruit's decision is based on the coaches - the ones that were recruiting him & the ones he would play for.

I didn't originally consider the implications behind these firings & recruiting. They could make a difference, but it's doubtful that it will affect more than 1 or 2 recruits.

Tell that to Ole Miss and coach O. He lost a LOT of players...

You mean all the players that quit the team after they got there? That had less to do with Orgeron firing coaches & more to do with Orgeron being the coach, IMO.

Now, not to start too many additional rumors, but Dandy Don mentioned the other day that as many as 4 (but probably only 2) of our own staff may be leaving. Now, I doubt that they would leave under the same situations as Miami (i.e. getting fired), but I think a few of them may be moving on to other programs to accept higher positional coaching jobs. I can't really think of any coach (outside of Jimbo and Pelini due to them both eventually wanting head coaching gigs--but that's not "news") that would be moving up someplace else???

Dunbar isn't leaving us (IMO, I wouldn't mind seeing him become defensive coordinator in the event that Pelini is ever offered a head coaching job someplace)....

I don't see Henson, Porter, or Peveto leaving (especially not Peveto! That man has done a GREAT job here and I hope he stays a long time in Baton Rouge)....

I could see coach Searls leaving--he's an Auburn grad, and I wouldn't be shocked if he ever returned back to "The Plains".

Well, both Bo Pelini and Jimbo are perennial threats to leave...and I think Tood Monken may be asked to leave.

Why? Well, *someone* has to be held responsible for a WR corps that should have hung with the best of them dropping just under one billion passes this season.

At the very least, it's fair to say Coach Monken's perennial season in Baton Rouge wasn't exactly sterling.

Can't argue with you there. Our WR's did drop a whole lot of balls this year and it's bad for Monken that of all the positional coaches and coordinators, the group he was in charge of did probably the worst.

I bet Florida doesn't want him anyway. If he goes to Miami, IMO, he wouldn't ever start for them (unless they had a serious lack of talented RB's). He would be smart to go to USF.
