Y'all keep putting LSU players in the HOF. Even at the bookstore today I saw a Tahoe with 2 big LSU stickers on the back panels. LSU is taking over Lubbock. Congrats on the Class of 2010 College Baseball Foundation - 2010 NATIONAL COLLEGE BASEBALL HALL OF FAME INDUCTEES ANNOUNCED Eddy Furniss, who played at LSU from 1995 to 1998, won the Dick Howser Trophy in 1998. He finished his career in Baton Rouge as the Southeastern Conference leader in hits, home runs, RBIs, doubles and total bases. In addition to multiple All-America honors, Furniss also was recognized multiple times as an Academic All-American for his work in the classroom. He was a fourth-round draft pick by the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1998.
im sure i could figure it out if i looked it up, but im too lazy right now.... i wonder how many members of the hof are from lsu? what percentage of members, i mean?
After this year 3 of 34 players will be from LSU, 1 of 15 coaches, and 0 of 8 in the Veterans class. Bertman 2006 Ben McDonald 2008 Todd Walker 2009 Eddy Furniss 2010
furniss never wanted to play ball professionally as a career. he just used it as an avenue to pursue his real dream. his dad was a doctor and so is he. he completed medical school and both share a family practice in texas. his dad sat by us many games when he played. great people. some of the very best you'll ever meet and eddie was the same way. one hell of a family. and yes he still holds most of the records.
holy freaking crap. decided to see if i could track down a pic. does anyone remember big eddie? hes only about 150 lbs less than i remember.
