I hate to sound uninformed, but does anyone know anything about a really good looking running back for East St. John. I saw him in the highlights on the news all season long. Fast, good moves looks like a good prospect

You are probably talking about John Owen. He is an excellent back, but isnt getting much attention from colleges. He is kind of small for a back at the next level. 5'8" 180, but runs a 4.47, I know Southern Illinois, ULL, and I think Southern Miss are looking at him. Im not sure why more colleges arent looking at him. He has another gear and take it to the house. Give a white back a chance!

I want to say he fractured his arm in their final game this year. From what I hear, is is a very good back. His dad used to be the head baseball coach at ESJ - was part of their 2 state championship teams in the early 90s.

How ironic that he gets hurt early in their playoff game andRummel ran all over them? Earlier in the year ESJ beat Rummel. Very underrated back. ESJ played some great competition and he had many long TD runs. He had an exceptional last half of the season. On Rivals he isnt listed with a star. For some reason I cant post the link of his Rivals profile. Just look up John Owen on Pelicanpreps.com, it has his Rivals profile. He is rated the #8 all-purpse back in the state.
