I try to fly down from Seattle every year for a game. This is the first time I've decided on an away game. To be safe I usually buy my tickets before the season and every time (including LSU Bama last year and in '05) I find that they're being scalped for way less than I paid. As a result I've decided to gamble and buy tickets on game day. Just curious if I should expect the situation in Baton Rouge to be similar or supply/demand a little different between the two venues? Any opinions from people with experience at both places would be appreciate.
Depends on how long you are willing to wait to get into the stadium. You want to wait till right about kickoff or a bit later you could find something at a reasonable price, but it may still be in one of the upper decks. Take note, scalping is illegal in Louisiana, so if you end up with more than 1 and try to sell the second... be careful who you sell to. There are some undercover cops out there who will arrest you for it.
You can sell it as long as it's not for over face value. If you are trying to get more than face, well than I hope you do get arrested.
Right now tickets are going for more than face value legal or not. I have a list of people asking me for any extra tickets because they can't find any at a reasonable price. It may happen but I wouldn't bet the farm on finding tickets outside the stadium on game day.
I here ya Rich, but if you want tickets you will get tickets. Been to hotter matchups than this and had no problem.
I found a ticket for $75. My friends that are still looking are finding prices around $200... I'm sure they'll be some tickets for sales, but I wouldn't count on it being easy to find or real close to face value.
