Let me just say that this does belong in this forum although I understand their is a chance it may be moved to the video game forum.

If there ever was a year LSU should've made the cover for NCAA football, this was the year.
LSU has won 2 football championships in the last 5 years, more than any other team in years, also since the BCS was started.

Lets see, correct me if I'm wrong but I think USC and Texas both made the cover after winning the BCS championship but not LSU.
I wonder if most LSU fans should boycott the game but somehow I think that would never work so what good would that do?
I will say that I bought last years game, as good as it was at first, I lost interest because both teams threw too many ints and from a preview I read about this years game it sounds like its still the same.

Back to topic, Are you mad or upset about LSU not making the cover?
IMO, LSU won't ever make the cover since we didn't make it this year!
I'm a little ticked off but then again there is real life and real issues, ya know what I mean?:)

Here's my thoughts, especially with having 5 different covers:

EA's thing is to have someone who is recognizable, so the only person who could be chosen from LSU would be Dorsey.

    McFadden definitely deserved one spot
Matt Ryan is debatable, but looking at it from a demographic point of view, someone from the northeast. Fine.

Owen Schmitt and DeSean Jackson. This just becomes a slap in the face to Dorsey.

The biggest problem is possibly the fact that EA knew these 4 players would be the ones ahead of time. There should not have been a vote for the mascot cover, giving it to LSU instead.

Here is how I think they tried to make it up to us: by bringing us up to #1 hardest place to play.

Doesn't really matter to me, i always just print up custom covers anyway.

last year it seemed they were finally on the right track by putting that boise qb (who had no chance at an nfl future) on the cover. The idea of rewarding great college altheletes who wouldn't be going pro seemed cool.

that said, TS still looks messed up.

I agree with most of what Dwight said. And hell, if they were gonna go as far as putting Schmitt on, they coulda given us two - one with Hester and one with Dorsey . Plus, when was the last time a defensive player took home five trophies at year's end?

I think what they looked at is the possibility that McFadden could be the next Peterson and they didn't wanna miss that boat...not to mention McFadden was taken by the Raiders, a large market team while Dorsey was taken by the smaller market Chiefs...this essentially cancelled out any chance for Dorsey as they probably didn't wanna put two guys from the same conference on a cover.

I don't agree however with them making it up to us by giving us the #1 hardest place to play. It's pretty much a given (my opinon) that we'd be in the Top 5 so them bumping us up a few notches doesn't equal out to me.

I get my own justification by simply winning championships season after season.
I've played a combined 30+ seasons on NCAA '08 w/ LSU winning over 20 NCs.
As far as I'm concerned they can put every media darling they want on the cover....All I do is win games.:crystal::champs::geaux:

"Teams" do not make covers - players do. Specifically, highly recognizable offensive players. LSU didn't lose any of those.

I don't know, Would you consider any players from last year in that category?
Why not Hester, he was a beast?

When was that last time LSU had highly recognizable offensive players btw?
    2003 maybe?

I understand what some are saying and I agree somewhat but also disagree since a school's mascot did make the cover this year!
Btw, I don't think there is any reason why Dorsey couldn't have been the guy.
    The dude won 5 trophies?
    Give me a break!:tigereye:

Really who cares who is on the cover? Any Joe Blow could easily make a custom cover with a decent art program. Just take it and make LSU the best team there is in the game.

P.S. I think them moving LSU up to #1 DOES in fact cancel out no LSU cover especially being that we've lost a HOME game in both years of our current 2 championships in 5 years
