It's still Northern Australia, not a global average.

So you keep saying. Why won't you post the source link, so we can see this in context?

    Prove it.

Who is leading you around, then?

Me. I've been scoffing at the global warming scam since 1986.

umm i've posted the source link but here you go again for the NAU from the official UN IPCC synthesis report. [IMG]

take a look at northern australia there. the amazing, infallible UN IPCC has northern australia as warming... but wait the raw data from all 222 official stations actually have it as slightly cooling since 1880.

but go ahead and dismiss this for whatever reason you want.

Also, looky here at the ice core data from greenland from the last 4,000,000 years. Of which this chart is created using GISP2 data from the NOAA ftp://ftp.ncdc.noaa.gov/pub/data/paleo/icecore/greenland/summit/gisp2/isotopes/gisp2_temp_accum_alley2000.txt

it's almost as if the earth has cool periods followed by dramatic warming followed by, you guessed it cool periods and again dramatic warming. It's like it's some kind of cycle or something.

If you insist. I'll just your your own linked site, which is a good one. I went there and checked. First of all I used the same date range as the IPCC--100 years from 1900 to 2000. Then I used ALL of the Australia stations, not the 222 stations you used above. The graph ends up looking like this:

The trend produced falls well within the broad model range published by the IPCC above.

So I guess it doesn't link to live graphs, but if you go to the website and enter those values , you will get it.

1986 was 23 years ago and the ice caps are still there. They had about 20 years to live back then according to the "scientists".

And the round earth thing? THAT'S been proven.

Actually the Greenland ice core data dates to 400,000 yrs. BP, not 4,000,000. But the cyclical nature is still instructive in that it pre-dates the dreaded internal combustion engine by some 399,880 years.:)

BTW, Red appears to be an ardent and knowledgeable proponent of anthropogenic global warming. Just wondering what his scientific background is.
